Tour one of the only round castles in Europe! One of Mallorca’s most iconic landmarks, it sits about 112m above sea level and offers 360° views over Palma. Built between 1300–1311 for James II, it later served as a military prison and is now the History Museum of Palma.

Paseo Marítimo [20]

Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront with views of the yacht-filled harbor and the cathedral. The promenade is lined with palm trees, cafés, tapas bars, and terraces. Options to roller skate or bike. If we see a good spot for brunch/ lunch along the water we can make a stop.

Ferrocarril de Sóller

Hop on the vintage train and take the scenic route to Sóller through a lush valley of orange and lemon groves, surrounded by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.

One of Mallorca’s most charming and distinctive towns, known for its historic Art Nouveau architecture and beautiful plazas framed by the Tramuntana mountains. Spend the day wandering artisan shops, sipping fresh orange juice, and soaking up the relaxed, timeless vibe that blends history, nature, and Mediterranean energy.

– Plaça Constitució: a lively main square lined with cafés and anchored by the modernist Church of Sant Bartomeu, designed by Joan Rubió, a student of Gaudí.

Mirador Es Colomer [8]

Optional sunrise cliffwalk to the most popular view of the Sierra Tramuntana mountain range. Take in the fresh morning air and admire the tranquility of this iconic lookout. Spot a monument to honor Antonio Pariette Coll, the engineer behind the lookout’s stone paths, steps, and terraces that were built in the 1960s. *sunrise at 6:52AM *many steps lead to the main terrace, just 0.2mi from the parking lot, but there are designated trails beyond the lookout to explore further *the most cliff-adjacent trail is the hike to Talaia de Albercutx: about 5km round trip, 150–200m elevation gain (1–2hrs), ending at a historic watchtower with 360° views of the Mediterranean *small/limited free parking lot

Cap’s Lighthouse [9] & Cala Formentor [10]

Cap Formentor is a dramatic peninsula at the northernmost tip of Mallorca. Along the way, you’ll pass rugged cliffs, panoramic viewpoints, and some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery on the island. *inside the lighthouse is not open to the public *free parking on-site

On the beach you’ll see the Four Seasons Resort, historically Hotel Formentor. Lunch in Pollença [5]

Let’s meet up in this picturesque town famous for its historic charm, cobbled streets, and cultural heritage. Grab lunch, wander through the town, explore street performers, and fuel up for the climb up the legendary Calvari steps! – Plaça Major: the town’s main square with cafés and artisan shops – Calvari Steps: 365-step stairway leading to a hilltop chapel with panoramic views – Museums & Galleries: small art galleries and history museums

Playa Alcudia or Platja de Muro [6] vs Sa Calobra [7]

Spend the afternoon on one of these beaches. Alcudia and Muro are developed with beach clubs; Sa Calobra is natural and quiet. – Torrent de Pareis trail: 5mi journey (1.5–2.5hr one way) through limestone gorge, ending at Sa Calobra Beach *route is largely unmarked, involves scrambling over boulders – Sa Calobra Beach: small pebbly beach where gorge meets the sea *trail parking (small free lot across Escorca Restaurant) *beach parking (~€3/hr)

Cliff Jumping Tour vs Beach/ Pool time

Those who signed up for the four hour coasteering excursion we will leave at 8:30am to meet the tour group at the starting point. Cliffs are up to 3-12m (10ft high), there is a zip line, rock scrambling will be involved. Guide, equipment, and water shoes are included. Bring a bottle of water, snack/lunch, towel, and sunscreen.

Others not participating in the tour can have a leisurely morning hangout at the pool and check out a beach. Pick up Kim and Andrea land at ~11AM.

Transit

Be ready to leave the villa at 3pm to head to the cruise pick up spot

Es Pontàs [15] and Cala Llombards [16] or Calo del Maro [17]

Optional morning hike to “the big bridge,” an infamous, natural limestone arch rock formation 20m high rising out of the sea carved by wind and waves over millions of years. *Cala Llombards Parking lot (further but a scenic walk along the coast) vs Cala Santanyí Parking Lot (closer) or a roadside pull-off in between Cala Llombards: a small, picturesque sandy cove surrounded by dramatic cliffs and pine trees, with crystal-clear turquoise water and minimal amenities. Calo del Moro: one of Mallorca’s most iconic and photographed beaches. Its golden sand cove, surrounded by steep cliffs, leads into super clear turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The natural setting feels secluded and almost untouched. *15 minute walk from the parking area to Calo del Moro whereas Cala llombards has easy access from the parking lot

Roam the ruins of this “New Church”, a striking unfinished Neo‑Gothic church designed by architect Joan Rubió Bellver. The project began in 1905 but was halted in 1929 due to financial difficulties and was never completed. Its unfinished character gives it a sense of mystery and beauty. *street parking

Cuevas del Drach [14]

Descend into another world at the Drach Caves — dramatic limestone caverns carved over millions of years, where glittering stalactites and stalagmites rise above Lake Martel, named after the French speleologist Édouard‑Alfred Martel who first fully explored and mapped the caves in 1896. It is one of the largest underground lakes in the world at ~117m long and 30m wide. The bonus live classical concert performed on the lake has been a tradision since 1935. Complete the guided tour with a boat ride across the lake. *please arrive at 2:50 so we can go in as a group *tours are 1hr, and the classical quartet (two violins, cello, and harpsichord) is 10min *large free parking lot on-site
